If you want to register, call them at (843) 546-7891. Their online system is not working. As of Monday morning, we have 23 going.

We will meet up at Bowman Place, 1118  Bowman Rd in Mt. Pleasant (Dick’s Sporting Goods is the anchor store) at 10 AM, and will leave at 10:15.

Lunch is at 11:30

Folks who live along the route are welcome to join the caravan when we pass by. (Ex. I am texting Tom Meservey as I leave the shopping center). Others are welcome just to meet us at the plantation.

I am happy to stay at Hopsewee for those taking the 1 pm tour and drive back with them.

Let’s shake off the February cold and drive up to Hopsewee Plantation for lunch on Saturday, February 26. Hopsewee is just about one hour from Mt. Pleasant and sits on the North Santee River near Georgetown.

Hopsewee advertises that it has one of the 3 most famous tea rooms in SC. The menu certainly sounds like it.

Our lunch time is 11:30. Anyone wanting to tour the house can do so on the 1 pm tour.

Select this link sign up for lunch and to choose:
one of 4 offered scrumptious lunches

Lunch choices include, Shrimp and grits, Low Country sampler plate, Blue Cheese spinach quiche and Chicken salad plate.  Beverage, dessert, taxes and gratuity are included for $27.50.

The cut-off date for signing up is Monday, Feb. 21. So be sure to register before that date.
Please let Millie know if you have signed up for the lunch.

Look forward to seeing you on this drive. Meet up place in Mt. Pleasant will be announced closer to the actual drive.
