The 39th Annual British Car Day

You are cordially invited to join The British Car Club of Charleston, South Carolina for the 39th Annual British Car Day on October 19th, 2024. The Spotlight Marque is the Sunbeam with a special celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Tiger. We will be giving out a dash cam, portable tire pump, portable vacuum and a car jump starter in the raffle, included with registration.
The Venue

British Car Day will be at the same venue that we have used for the past few years, Palmetto Islands County Park.  We have use of the three shelters, Tall Pine, Sweet Gum and Big Oak, as well as the rest rooms. Click here to see pictures from the 2023 British Car Day.
Friday Events

The Friday evening Welcome Reception will be at Hyatt Place in Towne Center in Mt Pleasant. Meet other participants and enjoy hors d'oeuvres. It will be at 5 to 9pm.  We are also planning a daytime drive to Hopsewee Plantation. We will leave Hyatt Place at 10am and drive there through scenic Francis Marion National Forest. We will take a tour of the facility and have a light lunch. If you would like you can sign up for one of the many other tours and presentations as there is plenty of time before the Welcome Reception at 5pm.

From I-26
—Use the right 2 lanes to take exit merge onto-526 EPleasant.  Go 10.9 miles.
Take exit Long Point Rd.  Go 0.2 miles. Use the left 2 lanes to turn Long Point Rd/State Rd S-10-97.  Pass by Wendy's (on the right in 0.4mi).  Go 1.9 miles. At the traffic circle, take the2nd onto Needlerush Pkwy.  Go 1.4 miles.

From Rt-17—From the north, turn right onto Long Point Rd/State Rd S-10-97. From the south, turn onto Long Point Rd/State Rd S-10-97. Go 1.2 miles. At the traffic circle, take the1st exit onto Needlerush Pkwy. Go 1.4 miles

Open to the public

British Car Day is open to the public. Stop by and bring the family. The only cost is $2pp to enter the park. Enjoy the day seeing the variety of beautiful British cars, talk with the owners and relax under one of the shelters and enjoy a lunch from one of the food trucks.

Bring the family and enjoy the day. British Car Day is open to the public, only $2 per person to enter the park. Enjoy the day seeing the variety of beautiful British cars, talk with the owners and relax under one of the shelters and enjoy a lunch and desert from one of the food trucks. The show is open from 11am to 3pm.

Featured Speaker - Alex Gabbard

If you are into Sunbeams, then you probably have heard of Alex Gabbard. At 1:30 on show day, Alex will be giving a talk on the history of the Alpine and Tiger.

CNC cut wood dashboards

British Car Club of Charleston member Hank Mengedoht will have custom cut wood dashboards for purchase at the show. The dashboards have a marine grade finish.

Silent Auction
Once again we will be having a Silent Auction on the show field.
Charleston Harbor Sunset Sail for up to five guests. Set sail with Wayne Burdick and Joyce Harvey, the popular local artist, for an unforgettable 2.5-hour adventure on the Marion Maid in Charleston Harbor!
